As far as I can tell, it looks like some servers are blocking email from intranet. Will send details by email.

| Intranet Upgrade Today |

As a reminder, we will be upgrading Intranet today beginning around noon MDT. The off-the-cuff guestimate of the outage time is 3 hours, but it could be more or less than that.
I will post replies to this message with any significant status updates. |

Hope all's well with all reading ...
puTTy is giving me the error message, "Unable to open connection intranet.org - host does not exist" since 09:00 GMT (didn't try earlier).

I thought first that my modem got messed up with a thunderstorm, but everything else connects. |

There has been a huge storm in Edmonton that has knocked out power in the whole area. There has been a flicker of life in the electric lines, but then it went out again, and we have no idea at this point when it (and intranet) will be back. |

Intranet appears not to be responding. It is not clear yet whether all of intranet is down, or just the name server. I will try to post updated information as I get it. |

| Intranet Upgrade |

On Saturday (January 3rd) beginning around 10am Mountain Time, we will be upgrading Intranet. We don't know how long it will take; it could potentially be all day.
Various services will be unavailable during this time. These may include web sites (http), email (POP, IMAP, and SMTP), and any other service. |
